winter skin

With seasons changing so should our skincare routine. Set up an appointment with one of our estheticians for a “Skin Analysis” and see which products work well for you during the winter months.

The objective of the analysis is to discover our clients' needs and concerns by making them feel comfortable so we could offer the best help and advice. Our $25 skincare analysis fee will be applied to the service that best fits your concerns or recommended Image Skincare products. This fee is only applied when a client schedules for a skincare analysis. A full-service appointment must be made on a different date.

Here’s 5 things to look for when choosing winter skincare products:

  1. Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser. Our skin becomes dryer and more sensitive during winter. Look for oil-based, milk-based, or nourishing cream cleansers.

  2. Exfoliate less. You’ll need to adjust the frequency of in colder weather to avoid dryness, redness, and irritation.

  3. Switch up your moisturizer. It’s time to put away lightweight cream and gel moisturizers, instead use a thicker, creamier moisturizer (note: if you have very oily skin, it’s best to stick with more lightweight moisturizer). Look for gentle options with ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin.

  4. Apply products to damp skin. Damp skin is easier to penetrate than dry skin (note: exfoliating acids, retinol, oil-based cleanser, and any acne medications should always be applied to dry skin).

  5. Introduce a facial oil. A couple drops can work wonders; add to your moisturizer or double up and apply it after.
